Kanso ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Kanso mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information needed to provide our services:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your display name and email address.
• Profile Photo: If you choose to add a profile photo, we access your device camera or photo library with your permission. Your photo is transmitted securely over HTTPS and stored on our servers to display across your account.
• Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage data such as which currencies you track and watchlist preferences to personalize your experience.
• Device Information: We collect basic device identifiers to support biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) when you enable this feature.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Kanso app and its features
• To display live currency, stock, and cryptocurrency rates
• To generate AI-powered market insights and predictions
• To manage your watchlists, alerts, and portfolio tracking
• To process feature suggestions, support tickets, and user-submitted feedback
• To improve app performance and user experience

3. Biometric Data

Kanso supports Face ID and Touch ID for secure app access. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We never receive, store, or transmit your biometric data. The biometric prompt is used solely to verify your identity on your device.

4. Camera and Photo Library

Kanso requests access to your camera or photo library only when you choose to set a profile photo. This access is optional and requires your explicit permission. Your selected photo is uploaded to our servers to display on your profile. We do not access your camera or photos for any other purpose.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your preferences and session data are stored securely on your device using encrypted local storage. Server-side data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in secured databases. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• OpenAI: To generate AI market predictions and insights. No personally identifiable information is sent to OpenAI.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Local data (preferences, cached content) can be cleared by uninstalling the app.

8. Children's Privacy

Kanso is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for optional data collection (camera, photo library)

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app. Your continued use of Kanso after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
